Legal Fees

How much does a lawyer cost? Since each case is unique, there is no way to determine legal fees upfront without speaking with a lawyer about your case. There are several factors that must be taken into account when determining the legal fee*, such as the:

Complexitiy and severity of the case;

Amount of time, legal research and preparation necessary;

Approach of the case in court; and

Number of court hearings required.

* Payment plans are available for those who qualify.

For Traffic & Criminal cases, the fee is generally a Flat Fee. This means you make one payment to hire the Yoon Law Firm, and regardless of how many appearances in court or if the case is resolve through a plea deal or trial, you do not pay any additional attorney fee.

For Personal Injury cases, the fee is contingent based. Generally, we charge the industry standard which is one-third (33 1/3%) of the entire recovery amount. If the matter goes to trial, the fee will generally increase proportionate to the additional work and time involved. But, the take-away is that you do not pay our firm unless we recover a settlement or judgment for you.

Bankruptcy cases are also a flat fee. Unless your case requires a separate hearing or an appearance in the Bankruptcy Court, your fee will be fixed and once you make that payment, you will not pay any additional attorney fee.
